Eg teeth that overlap or have gaps in them

OP posts:

I agree. As long as they're clean and healthy, I prefer a bit of uniqueness.

FlaminEckVera · 03/07/2021 23:44

Odd thread. Confused

@Wildtimes78889

Of course YANBU to not find crooked teeth ugly. You are entitled to your opinion and view.

Personally it depends. Some look OK, some don't... Like some teeth that are not crooked look OK, and some don't..

Susannahmoody · 03/07/2021 23:46

My teeth are crowded and I'm gorgeous

I think some people obviously havent read the thread title correctly

NoProblem123 · 04/07/2021 14:30

Haha poor OP - I’ve read you post properly and completely agree - I DONT find them
ugly either so long as they’re clean.
Weird toilet bowl choppers are ugly as.

YABU and this is coming from someone with crooked teeth and gaps. It affected my confidence all my life and I finally got invisalign. I feel so much more confident in myself and can smile freely. Its one thing people can bully and put you down for.

I know not everyone can afford it. Clean and healthy crooked teeth are fine as long as those with them think so.

I was the exact same.

I just was not happy with mine looking like that.

I have seen people who have had a lot of corrective work and look peculiar.
My teeth aren't particularly bad either straightness or colour- wise, but they're not as good as they can be and I'm extremely self conscious about it.
I can't see my teeth being attractive although I don't think they alone ruin my looks.
I can be harsh on myself because I do have a preference for whiter straighter teeth in others if I'm honest.

UsedUpUsername · 04/07/2021 14:42

YABU

HalzTangz · 04/07/2021 14:46

I personally find someones personality far more attractive than if there teeth or straight or not, or if they are 'typically beautiful' or not.
Looks are superficial in my eye, and it pisses me off when others are automatically judges for not being perfect (whether that be teeth, clothes they wear etc)

lap90 · 04/07/2021 14:53

Teeth are one of the first things I notice about people.

Each to their own!

LoudNowSing · 04/07/2021 15:01

I used to have lovely straight teeth and they've gradually become more and more crooked. Dentist says I have bone overgrowth in my mouth. I can't be arsed to spend the money to fix them no, if they can be fixed.

NiceGerbil · 04/07/2021 15:43

Often it's achieved by expensive dental work.

So it's really iffy to say not straight teeth are ugly.

Generally I prefer a more natural thing than, especially the Hollywood hyperwhite look. Having said that I do love rylan Grin if that's what people want to do it's up to them.

In the USA it's a signifier of wealth really, which is why it's so popular.

I mean black etc teeth not so great obv. But just s bit wonky? So what.

Mine cross s bit at the front and I've had no shortage of fellas Grin

thebattleofschrutefarms · 04/07/2021 15:58

It doesn't make sense to judge people for something that can cost thousands of pounds to change.
I work with a 25 year old who spent all her savings on Invisalign and will be living with her mum and dad for an extra few years because of it!
