Went over for dinner and we all her (her, me and him) sat at the table. She asked me a question about an upcoming operation and then said don’t worry if you don’t want to talk about it in front of him.

I saw I didn’t mind, and then said you don’t mind do you boyfriend?

He just looked and said well I’m not even really listening anyway.

If my partner invited a friend over I wouldn’t sit with them at dinner and tell the guest that I wasn’t listening to them.

I had to look up “skank”, . It says a reggae dancer? We’re ugly reggae dancers because we don’t think you should have been discussing your private health problems with your friends boyfriend???

It sounds like the two of you were dominating the conversation with topics relevant to both of you but which weren’t really interesting or relevant to him and that he was zoning out. I wouldn’t think it was rude for him to say he wasn’t really listening if he wasn’t really part of the conversation you’d been having up to that point.
