Just interested in views.

Started a job end of February 2020.

Lockdown happened. Last day in work was 20th March.

Went back for two weeks in September, signed off sick.

Left end of November.

I guess either way it has happened now and can’t be changed?

pumpingmetalmusic · 30/06/2021 19:26

I suppose so

Well stated like that, yes. Presumably there’s a backstory though.

Souther · 30/06/2021 19:31

Was this you or someone else?

People cant help it if they fall ill

Carrotinsaladiswrong · 30/06/2021 19:32

In what way?

They didn’t predict the Covid lockdown and also didn’t predict they would need to sign off sick over 1 year later? Chances are they left so they wouldn’t be taking the piss with constant sick notes.

CheeseIsATypeOfMeat · 30/06/2021 19:32

It's just life. Sometimes things don't go the way we expect. I wouldn't dwell on it. Get yourself better.

Chin up!

mn2022 · 30/06/2021 19:33

What

LolaSmiles · 30/06/2021 19:36

Yes, you're right it's totally taking the piss to not foresee a pandemic, a country going into lockdown and ending up so unwell that they felt the best choice was to resign. They should have looked into their crystal ball to find out they're about to be unwell and make sure they didn't inconvenience anyone.
Hmm

LolaSmiles · 30/06/2021 19:38

Sorry if I misjudged your tone, but I think there's been too many people deciding they know more about their colleagues' health through this pandemic.

If you're the person in the post then you're not taking the piss if you know you've been honest. Any colleague giving you grief needs to shut up.

If it's not you and you're talking about someone else, then keep your nose out their business.

pumpingmetalmusic · 30/06/2021 19:38

It was me.

CheeseIsATypeOfMeat · 30/06/2021 19:39

@pumpingmetalmusic

It was me.
Then re read my post!!

All is OK OP.

How are you doing now? Flowers

pumpingmetalmusic · 30/06/2021 19:42

I feel like I’ve lost a lot of confidence. Going to be going back to work soon and feels like years since I worked!

OP posts:
LolaSmiles · 30/06/2021 19:49

Then have faith in yourself. None of us could anticipate lockdown and you're not responsible for being ill.
It's easy to say from behind a screen, but be kind to yourself. It's been a tough year and you've had the misfortune of being unwell. To be ready to return to work shows you've overcome a lot.

pumpingmetalmusic · 30/06/2021 19:52

I was honest but it was WRS which is partly why I feel a bit fraudulent. Stupid really.

OP posts:
PurpleyBlue · 30/06/2021 19:57

Sounds like September to November you were ill and then you/ they decided it wasn't working out. That sounds a sensible timeframe. Ignore all the pandemic stuff, no one knew how it was all going to pan out.

Faevern · 30/06/2021 20:01

We’re you working from home during lockdown or furloughed?

suspiria777 · 30/06/2021 20:03

@pumpingmetalmusic

I was honest but it was WRS which is partly why I feel a bit fraudulent. Stupid really.
what is WRS?
Badfootkk · 30/06/2021 20:06

WRS ?

Ch3rish · 30/06/2021 20:08

Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't know what WRS means. I don't think I can comment without the full facts

OnlyMsLonely · 30/06/2021 20:08

Work related stress?

pumpingmetalmusic · 30/06/2021 20:13

I was theoretically WFH but to be honest there was very little I could do. Work related stress yes.
