Just that!

What have you implemented in your life / what changes have you made / what have you trialled but no longer do that has helped with productivity? However small.

E.g things like switching phone off during work hours, only checking email at certain times, task batching, calendar blocking, ANYTHING - ALL OF IT - HIT ME!

I think with Pomodoro you just need to adapt it to suit yourself. I'm a terrible procrastinator so constantly putting off starting things. Forcing myself to concentrate even for a short time really helps. If you are getting in to a flow you can just skip the break and keep going. I think you're also supposed to cut out distractions, so phone on silent etc.

@tellmetologoffIamaMNaddict and @UsernameNotAvailableApparently how do I find these ADHD vids please?

Is it a specific place or did you just mean go onto YouTube and type in something along the lines of ADHD productivity tips or find Youtubers with ADHD to follow their channels?

Sorry - I know it seems like a basic question!

Trello Boards - I read about them on MN and find them so helpful after just a few weeks of using them. I have a work one with cards that help me keep on top of the dozens of small things that make up larger areas of work. I've just set up a personal one to remember numerous domestic things.

Other than that, as PP have noted: only answer emails in batches at certain points of the day. Don't have notifications or sounds on them, to stop distractions.

Never leave a room empty-handed.

I am reading this when I should be tackling the tip my house has become. There is washing waiting to be dried but I can't reach the machine as so much piled up in front of it, from when I tidied the hall yesterday!
Will go off and have a burst of activity Grin

I keep a cordless vacuum upstairs and another one downstairs. I'm much more likely to use them if I can just grab and go instead of wrestling the big vacuum out of the cupboard. They aren't as effective as a proper corded vacuum but for a quick tidy up between proper cleans they are great.

I tip all the vitamin tablets and my antihistamines (I take a multi vitamin, , iron, vitamin D, collagen, cod liver oil and biotin every day) into one food storage box and keep it in the hot drinks cupboard. Then in the morning I only have to open one tub and count out what I need not open half a dozen separate jars.

@Confusedandshaken I like this!

I use the Eat that Frog method: If it's your job to eat a frog, it's best to do it first thing in the morning. And If it's your job to eat two frogs, it's best to eat the biggest one first. So the tasks I really don't want to do, I get them done first and then the rest of my day is a breeze. My kids have the same approach and it really helps them too.

Good ideas here.

Different things work for different people though. I prefer to keep emails open throughout the day and respond to any that can be dealt with very quickly, rather than having to go back to them later.
