To think Penny Lancaster shouldn't have broadcast details of the man she saved?

here Since she did that police programme a couple of years ago she has trained to be a Special Constable.
If I was the guy who had been suicidal I would be making an official complaint.
Surely all the information she gave out should have remained private?

I'm no fan of PL by a long, long way, mainly because she treats shop-workers and waiting staff like shit on her stilettos. I imagine though, that it was probably the police who publicised this. Both as a good news story and to encourage recruitment of other special constables.

That said, according to another report I saw, she has managed to complete something like 5 shifts in the last year. It must be pretty galling to regular officers and specials with higher levels of commitment to see the attention she gets.

I think he would probably be able to identify himself and his family would too - I can't imagine that he wants the world talking about his darkest hour and someone else's starring role in his mental health crisis, even if they don't know his name.

Whether the benefits of raising awareness of issues surrounding mental health are worth the potential suffering of this individual and his family is another matter. It doesn't sound as though he was consulted before she shared his story.

How exactly do you think they will be able to ID him? Go on, MI5 will be asking you for tips if you can explain.

There are literally thousands of young male students, with worried mothers and religious fathers, but do tell, how will they know that its Brian from 123 Something street, Town etc

Ironteeth, is there any need to be so unpleasant to other posters?

Fair enough, I apologise for being mean.

I am struggling to see how people are thinking this is sensitive information though.
