AIBU to ask you for your summer holiday activity plans if you have a tween who is starting secondary in September?

I have a DS 11 and wanted to get some ideas for summer holiday activities. DS isn't sporty so doesn't want to do the local football academy many of his friends are doing. I'm asking for ideas please - what can you do with a tween boy apart from letting him watch YouTube and go on Roblox/PS all day?

TIA

I’m sending my 12 year old to PGL for a week. It’s not cheap but she’ll be forced to participate in something other than Minecraft and may even have fun so it’s worth it. One of her friends is going too. Grandparents for a week, I’m taking some holiday. The rest of the time she’ll likely be online

My DD is doing a 1 week transition at the new school and has 1 week in her usual holiday club that is linked to the afterschool club at primary.

The rest of the time I have odd days off, my DH works shifts so is also off on odd days but the idea is she will relax, spend time with us (on her phone) and some time playing in the village with friends and gradually increasing her independence ready for having to travel to school on her own in Sept (2.5 miles away, bus and walking)

Mine is still 10 until end of August. I have 2 weeks leave and we are camping for 1 week of that. Secondary providing a free activity week for new year 7s. A few days at forest school, a few days at grandmas, DH supposed to be taking a few days off to visit his parents with the DC. So pretty well covered. We used to have great cover from grandparents and child minder but it’s fragmented with COVID.

Could you introduce him to geocaching? Can do that from pretty much anywhere and maybe do a couple of days out to find particular ones.

Thanks for replies all. We have done geocaching before - it was a hit and we used to do it alongside Pokemon Go which he did enjoy.

Any other suggestions?

PGL looks expensive and not something I could afford, sadly.
