Do you get more intolerant as you get older?

I feel as though i am getting more unreasonable and cantankerous. sigh.

Help me be more patient/tolerant/socially acceptable.

I do think a home for Ladies with possible visitation rights for suitable Gentlemen.

speaking of undergarments onebatmother, have recently purchased two M & S thermal vests and have now gone back to purchase a further one...with sleeves. Automatic qualification to the Home i think.

Barnstaple LOL at 'drops of sugar', agree we have earned the right to a venting of intolerance on our nearest and dearest.

I am intolerant with other peoples lack of tolerance - if that makes sense.

Can't understand why people won't live and let live. It grieves me, really it does!

pointydog · 22/11/2007 23:10

reminds me of an old folk's home I worled in once. It was set up for Ladies of means. They were clearly bats

ClassAct · 22/11/2007 23:13

OP Rosybud. How old are you, really??? Are you qualified to use the phrase "my advancing years?" The public has a right to know!!!

onebatmother · 22/11/2007 23:17

'clearly bats'.. and your point is, pointydog??

pointydog · 22/11/2007 23:18

this thread is starting to echo with the moans of bonkers semi-menopausal women...

rosybud · 22/11/2007 23:20

a Lady never reveals her age

agree, rosy, gentlemen callers should be vetted.
if only to protect the feegle-minded/weak-hearted from dingdong's unbuttoned blouse.

your undergarments sound very lovely.

handlemecarefully · 22/11/2007 23:21

That would be me then .although I think pre-menopausal. Might have another baby just to prove it

pointydog · 22/11/2007 23:22

it weould prob be me as well, hmc. just don't want to admit it

onebatmother · 22/11/2007 23:22

i believe, pointydog, that aitch called me peri-menopausal, which was far more classy.

onebatmother · 22/11/2007 23:25

'feegle-minded', yeees, i like it.

pointydog · 22/11/2007 23:25

oo, that is rather fancy

what does the peri bit mean? I can only think on perineal

onebatmother · 22/11/2007 23:26
onebatmother · 22/11/2007 23:28

so perineal means around your knees

pointydog · 22/11/2007 23:28

gosh, she is clever that \aitch

pointydog · 22/11/2007 23:28
onebatmother · 22/11/2007 23:29

or has very bad spelling and meant premenopausal. I leave it to you and your perineum to decide.

pointydog · 22/11/2007 23:30

my perineum knows who's boss of this relationship

policywonk · 22/11/2007 23:33

Can I just point out that I am the warden of the MN home for the terminally confused - see this thread, 21.30-ish onwards. And fgs put it away.

pointydog · 22/11/2007 23:35

s'ok

it never sees the light of day

fortyplus · 22/11/2007 23:39

Perimenopause... a period of about 10 years prior to the menopause... symptoms characterised by tendenct towards confusion, loss of memory, inability to learn new skills and mood swings.

I am 46 so I suspect I may be a sufferer.

I explained this to my boss, who replied 'I shall remember to look out for that when the time comes, then!'

fortyplus · 22/11/2007 23:40

Should be 'tendency' of course. Didn't even mention inability to type/spell as a symptom!

pointydog · 22/11/2007 23:40

oh god 40, that's almost depressed me. It's a medical term and I have it. Fackin hell.

And what's with the 'I suspect..'? Of course you';ve got it if you;re 46. Just when do you think you're going to get it exactly?
