To leave my NHS job?

I'm on a band 2 admin job at the hospital, it's soul destroying and wages are rubbish but their is room for progression.

I have been offered a full time work from home banking customer service role, which is permanent and better money.

I am due to complete my qualification in HR in July so that is my long term goal. So these jobs are only for now anyway.

Aibu to leave my NHS job? OH thinks I should apply for other jobs in the NHS but I don't really enjoy the NHS work environment to be honest.

If you don't enjoy your work why stay?

What benefit is NHS over other roles??? You might have better pay, job progression and a more interesting role. Why not more?

Also in the NHS and also hate it. It's a very toxic environment in my department currently. It was this way long before covid. The only thing keeping me here is the maternity pay and pension. I think you have to weigh up those benefits with both the NHS and your new job.

Just do it.

I'd stay put and apply for NHS HR jobs once you get your qualification, it's much easier to get a transfer than to get in the door.

I worked in the NHS and hated it too I lasted two months. But that’s life. You’ll find what works and good luck with your HR qualification and long term goal.

I would take the new job. Anything to leave the soul draining NHS Grin pension isn’t even worth staying these days

The NHS can be very toxic.
