Am I being unreasonable to think that the reason Theresa May had to be got rid of as PM was because she was not prepared to give juicy backhanders to the right people?

I also wonder whether she would have survived an affair scandal. Not a chance I think

I wish she'd been In charge during the pandemic. I think she'd have done a better job of it.

I really don’t like the feeling that it’s just double standards. I highly doubt she’d be able to get away with all the things that Johnson, Hancock, Cummings et al have been doing.

Nobody actually wanted the Brexit shaping job. She was blinded by the prospect of being PM and ran towards it while everyone with more savvy found a way to step back. Or was stabbed in the back much earlier in the process. She was useless as a leader and a media figure and the Conservative machine sold her out.

As far as I can tell the only achievements of the Johnson government are lying and giving backhanders to their mates. So I assumed that the backhanders must have been why she had to be got rid of. I mean it can't be because she was incompetent, because the current shower are so much more incompetent.
