To ask where you got your wedding suits from?

Help!
We've been everywhere - M&S, Next, Moss Bros, John Lewis and we cannot find wedding suits anywhere.
We are after grey suits (preferably light) in a wide range of sizes. It seems that since covid everywhere has cut their suit selection back.
We've found a few online but really wanted to see them in person as a couple that we have thought were ok turned out to be basically White or a tweed type pattern!

Any suggestions or am I doomed never to find them.

OP: did you go to a "bridal" store to choose your dress, and did your bridesmaid? i.e. experienced help?
Or did you too go to M&S, Next, Moss Bros, John Lewis to find your outfits for "THE DAY"?
Why didn't the groom go with his team to a professional outfitters?
Budget??
as much as possible for the bride
whatever is left over for the groom

I went to a bridal store with my mum. We had a strict budget which we stuck to. Currently looking at 3 piece suit prices my dress was around the same amount (£340 to be exact) suits seem upwards of £250 (for three pieces we have looked at). Apart from moss bros which are dedicated to suits where else does one get suits from at a price the same as the dress. For what it's worth we have one bridesmaid and 7 grooms men. Their suits will vastly outnumber the price of our two dresses. I'm struggling to see what your point is? Name a specific bridal suit store (as per my post of asking for store suggestions) and I'll jump on it

@IgiveupallthenamesIwantedareg0 also I haven't mentioned that there is a price. Please can you tell me where I've said that we are looking for budget?

Ours were navy blue Ted Baker from Moss Bros (I think)

I had mine made bespoke.

I still wear it. Sentimental value aside, it's the best piece of clothing I have and it makes me look good, and feel a million dollars.

Other than the fact it's bespoke and verrrr good quality fabric it's just a normal suit. By 'wedding suit' I'd imagine a morning suit but I haven't seen one of those for over two decades.

Considering the amount of wear I've had from it it's been good value.

TomPinch · 25/06/2021 04:09

And I know it's not the cheapest option. On the other hand, you can choose exactly what cloth you want and make it exactly what suits you- and unlike wedding dresses wear it again and again and again!

My husband used an online suit hiring company. Something to suit every budget. Picked online entered measurements. They Sent everything to try on pre wedding so you could change the size then your actual suit was delivered a few days prior to your wedding. Then collected a few days after (even from a different address as we were on honeymoon).

We had quite a lavish wedding but my husband is not the sentimental type and didn’t want to buy a suit that he wouldn’t wear again. Worked brilliantly.

Asda. They all looked as good as anyone 😊

Moss Bros

mrsmoppp · 25/06/2021 11:54

My dh hired his from slaters this was 15 yrs ago but the service was fantastic

Ednadidit · 25/06/2021 17:28

My husband bought his in the Next sale/clearance section of the website. The range is HUGE and obviously all discounted. He’s a marathon runner, though, so always looking for tiny sizes which often appear in the sales. Price meant that he bought slightly too big and took to the seamstress who was altering my dress so it fitted him like a glove and all for less than ~£120.

JCrew, but I think they pulled out of the UK? Shirts were from Charles Tyrwhitt.
