AIBU to think this is the biggest piss take ever.

I can't even go to my kids sports day but these fat cats can fly over to the UK to watch football in a stadium that holds 60,000 fans.

Obviously rich people dont carry covid.

Fuck you Boris

yanbu

Scrambledcustard · 23/06/2021 22:12

Its all just bull shit and suppressing the positive data after the large gathering experiments stink!

Its a fucking farce!

OP posts:
idontlikealdi · 23/06/2021 22:16

Farce is exactly it, it's all bullshit.

Scrambledcustard · 23/06/2021 22:20

Im surprised to be honest there isn't interest in this thread. Maybe I should have posted

"woman in Tesco with no mask'.....

HoneysuckIejasmine · 23/06/2021 22:23

It's outrageous for sure. I read on another thread that there are almost quarter of a million kids isolating at home at the moment, because of a case in their (sometimes huge) bubbles. But go to the football no problem at all.

SlipperyDippery · 23/06/2021 22:26

There’s already been threads on it today. 60,000 fans is fair enough (sports day shouldn’t be cancelled, that’s quite ridiculous), quarantine free travel isn’t. I’m a massive football fan and very excited to have the final at Wembley - but would rather it went elsewhere than we import yet more fucking mutations and slap all the people who can’t visit family abroad in the face by allowing this UEFA lot in Willy nilly.

Scrambledcustard · 23/06/2021 22:26

Its funny how the news is starting to trickle out that class bubbles will soon stop having to isolate and holiday restrictions maybe up before the summer holidays now isn't it?

Yet strangely enough Parliament hasn't had a full return.

If it's safe for everyone else, so it is for MPs.

Tealightsandd · 23/06/2021 22:30

They need to Iead by example.

Well that's twice now we have agreed in the space of five mins...Grin

We're getting there. Grin
I agree with your OP too!

SchrodingersImmigrant · 23/06/2021 22:39

Meanwhile many of us haven't seen our families due to not being able to afford quarantine 🙄

If I knew all it took to return with no quarantine was having tickets for foitball I would maybe even start caring about the game properly😂

ShanghaiDiva · 23/06/2021 22:41

It’s an absolute disgrace.

He’s absolutely hellbent on spaffing all the gains we made through the vaccination programme up the wall.

Skysblue · 23/06/2021 23:27

Money talks

😢

chitofftheshovel · 23/06/2021 23:29

Its an utter piss take, you are totally correct. I live in cornwall. Our cases have risen astronomically since the “vips” came down for their jolly, all end of year school stuff cancelled for the children. So instead they’ll spend the time with the very people they would have done at prom or whatever. Yet.....gah....the football goes ahead. It’s utter bollocks.

FrankButchersDickieBow · 23/06/2021 23:37

Makes me absolutely fucking sick. Yanbu. And I cant believe 5% of voters think that you are!!

Makes me feel like a fucking dick for sticking to the 'rules' so diligently

That's the ticket holders😂
Awwlookatmybabyspider · 23/06/2021 23:51

To say it's infuriating doesn't even come close to covering it.
Now I've got no problems following the rules as much as I may not like them or even agree.
However. I do rightly take issue with double standards and rules for thee but not for we.
Maybe I'm nieve but I always thought What was good for the goose was good for the gander.
Mind you saying all that are we honestly surprised. We all know VIP poshies set of rules are better than ours.

Toomuchspinning · 23/06/2021 23:53

Nope, I’m spitting about this too.

Fucking ridiculous. If I had been on the fence about a trip to an amber country before, I’d be booking the bloody flights now. After over a year of this wankish behaviour from the government, what Mr Schapps would “rather [I] didn’t do” matters not one jot.

I'm a massive football fan and I agree with you.
ZZTopGuitarSolo · 24/06/2021 00:30

It’s yet another example of how fucking ridiculous the Johnson government’s decision making process has been throughout the whole pandemic.

Meanwhile I’m fully vaccinated and coming from an area with almost no Covid but I have to test, quarantine, test, test and test again to be allowed to come over and see my family.

Overthebow · 24/06/2021 05:55

Yes completely ridiculous. No wonder people aren’t following the rules anymore. Hope they don’t want people to comply with anymore restrictions in future, no one will take them seriously.
