...In Wondering Where All The Tap Dancers Have Gone?

When I was younger, so much younger than today, they were everywhere. You couldn't switch on the telly without seeing one. Roy Castle, Lionel Blair, Bonny Langford etc. Everywhere. No light entertainment show was complete without tappy-tappy-tappy-tappy at some point. And Brucie would do his bit. And The Roly-Polys.

It's all ballroom now. What happened to them all?

@WithLoveFromMyselfToYourself

They’ve shuffled off their mortal coils.
Brilliant!

@MyFloorIsLava actually I didn't dismiss Irish dance at all. What if I was implying that Riverdance became far more exciting to the masses than tap? Riverdance is a fusion of Irish dance and other genres, which to me includes tap dancing.

Take that raised eyebrow emoji back.

Watching these clips has made me even sadder that my adult tap class folded because of lack of numbers.
