To wonder whether coronavirus parking should end

We live near a hospital. For ages parking was a total nightmare and it was impossible to park anywhere within a 5min radius of the street. Then the council introduced residents parking and I now pay circa £200 p/a to park in the street.
Until recently parking was fine and the £200 felt like money well spent. But in the last few months it has gone back to being impossible with the streets full of coronavirus (NHS) parked cars. I understand this will end when the restrictions do (so mid July) so personally I'm happy as it is a pain not being able to park near the house (have elderly parents to transport). But I was wondering if it is a good thing or not. Frankly I want my doctor not stressed about parking especially given the backlog of treatments required.

I think reasonable to continue. In general I would like the charges to not be one rate for all vehicles. Chelsea Tractors should be hit with very high charges or no permits at all.

This annoys me at our local hospital - all the nearby car parks, except the one official hospital multi storey (which isn’t all that big) are now for NHS staff only and have been since the start of the pandemic. I have to attend fairly regularly for pregnancy related appointment, and it’s a toss up between taking public transport (takes longer, obviously riskier, and a bit of a walk at the other end which will get more difficult as I get bigger) or drive and take the chance that there won’t be a parking space when I get there. It’s city centre so no on street parking nearby really.
