Housework .. drudgery

Anyone else work FT with kids and just find keeping on top of housework end the need to spend weekends cleaning washing tidying sorting wardrobes etc such a chore?

I get so little time for myself end this morning after doing x2 kids sports activities and sorting out party present and looking around at fridge, washing etc just literally calculated eh e years until youngest will be 18.

Awful isn't it. Lack of free time and the endlessness of it getting to me.

Have a cleaner 6hr a week but with a large house and garden and 3 kids under 10 quickly is messy etc and kids do tidy but have to be managed to do it.

Argh.

It's like being stuck on a giant hamster wheel for years and years. I hated every moment of it. Being a full time working mum is shite.

Thanks for suggestions will look at gardener
@noworklifebalance yeh that's my life
Have to book a day off to get a few hour to myself

Try and keep Sunday free but don't entertain much as too tired to do all the prep and clean up

I can't afford to go 4 days a week due to mortgage but have a lodger who pays for the cleaner effectively

Just so wearing isn't it, keeping it all going and thankless tasks have to keep spinning on top of a full on job.

There's working full time (40 hours) then there's working full time (50+ hours).

Sounds like you're in the latter category and as such you need to up your cleaner hours and ask her to incorporate the housekeeping or find someone who can.

It is absolutely exhausting working 12 hour days and 3 kids. As long as you can afford it, that's what money is for - to make life easier.
