To ask for job suggestions

In my current job I think they are looking to get rid of people as they have increased targets to a level that no one is hitting all the time. Three warnings about missing targets and you're sacked.
So I I'm looking for another job. I'm trained in childcare but can't go back to that as I can't afford childcare for my son on those wages and every job seems to need experience or degrees. I have never done an admin role so that's out.
Any suggestions for what sort of role I could apply for? Baring in mind if its full time my nursery fees would be over £1200 a month.

Childminding seems the obvious choice to me, as you can care for your own child at the same time. Do you have space at home? I don’t know how hard it is to get any permissions/certifications you need, but someone else might be able to advise.

What were you doing?

I have thought about childminding but we're renting and have to leave the house in November so I'm not sure if it's worth doing (also think it's quite hard to set up with lots of regulations etc).
I work in retail at the moment but don't really want to stay in the role.

Are you in a relationship with your child’s father? If so then you’re only responsible for half the childcare costs, which should make your potential work-life balance easier. Mothers don’t have to cover all childcare on their own - it’s a shared cost between both parents.

There are so many fields of work it’s pointless making a list here. Get onto some job sites and start looking at everything to see what your skills and situation fit. The National Careers Service might also be a good resource to explore - they can give all sorts of good advice.

Care work? If you work evenings or weekends you don't need to pay childcare.
