Has anyone else had this experience with the NHS?

On the 27th of April, my GP fast-tracked me for an appointment at the hospital, which I should have had a year ago.
This was an emergency consultation, to be within 2 weeks. So a window up until 10th May. I was given the date May17th.
I've just received a letter, intended for my GP, by mistake. It states that I didn't attend my 10th of May appointment??!!
This implies that the hospital were working within the specified time-frame, and that I am a time-waster.
If the NHS are routinely behaving like this, it's going to skew the statistics for a) no-shows, and b) their performance.
I also resent the fact that they've used my name in their skewing of the facts. AIBU?

I know someone this has happened to recently and I also know at least 3 people who’ve had paperwork results sent to their old addresses even though they’d changed their addresses and original paperwork came to the correct address. Appalling admin 🤦🏼‍♀️

For the first time in my life I’m properly unwell - until now, despite what’s said in the media, I didn’t truly believe medical care in this country could be that bad - it is in fact utterly appalling and I’m now terrified of getting worse and needing more. I appreciate there are some great doctors, nurses and staff but the system is broken and needs radical overhaul.

A find of mine had a problem with her shoulder was referred to nhs physio. Physio decided she needed to see the consultant so gp referred her to a consultant. She got a phone call from the hospital and they said the appointment was yo see a physio. She explained she'd already seen the physio and he said she needed to see a consultant. They said they'd enquire and ring her back. She never heard anything so she contacted the GP. He saud that they had received,a letter yo say she had declined treatment so she was off their list.

To be honest, I've found hospital doctors are professional and courteous and can do great things. But the admin in hospitals is atrocious and needs a complete overhaul.
