To want some games to play with the kids on holiday?

Not really a aibu but this gets the most traffic.

We go to Cornwall every year & we take a pack of cards & dobble with us when we’re eating out or popping some where for a drink, to fill the time while we’re waiting for the food to come.

Just wondering if anyone had any other games we could take instead. We’ve two 12, almost 13 year old girls, so something that they will enjoy. Also, something that is portable, bonus points if it can be played in the car too.

We recently bought a game called Linkee from Amazon which was really good. Also Pictionary- we do kids vs adults!

Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza is a more complicated version of snap and hilarious.

Mine absolutely love battleships. We originally bough a travel size game (Tesco's best Grin) but tbh they're as happy playing it on paper.

Muffin Time absolutely drives me spare, it's so stupid, but Lord do kids love it Grin

Sleeping Queens is a perennial favourite.

Whilst you're away, Don't Get Got is great fun.

See if you can pick up a copy of The Floor is Lava - we've had loads of good games from that.

"Pit is good fun and very portable. Can get noisy though."

Uno, pass the pigs, double deck of cards and a packet of tricoloured pasta twists - poker was (and is) a favourite with my girls.

itsgettingwierd · 14/06/2021 15:46

Uno flip is great fun.

We also buy books with ready made pages for playing squares or play hangman holiday themed!

We love Kariba. It's a very fun, very portable and very easy to learn game. We bought it with the idea in mind to play in pubs, restaurants etc The Mind is a good one too

Monopoly bid is brilliant, we have never played a game so much and have given it to all his friends.

FlowerPower3110 · 14/06/2021 16:14

I love Jungle Speed and Uno

Brilliant ideas everyone - thank you so much.
Always better to have recommendations rather than guess what might be a good one.
