I'm shattered!!! Do you think its a bit much to go to bed at 7? I could easily do this every night. DD has me knackered with all the running around. Thing is i'll probably still be tired in the morning.

I would first have a nice soak and then go to bed. Even if you don't fall asleep straight away you can read for a short while and you'll be nice and cosy.

I've done it LOADS of times.

Unfitmother · 20/11/2007 18:58

Night, night x

elliemac · 20/11/2007 18:58

Sounds nice. Might just do that plinkyplonk.

Go to bed. Take a book or listen to radio or something.

IF your dd is in bed then why not?

I do it about once a week.

JARM · 20/11/2007 19:03

ooooh I wish I could, but I would be awake at 2am and wouldnt get back to sleep.

If I want an early night, the earliest I can go to sleep is 9.30pm.

Enjoy it though, I just wish I could do it!

PersonalClown · 20/11/2007 19:03

I may join you!
I didn't sleep well last night, I've got hideous toothache that kept me up. It's not too bad today so I may go to bed when Ds goes at 8pm!

Walnutshell · 20/11/2007 19:05

been there, done that - sleep well! hope you don't wake up too early.

choosyfloosy · 20/11/2007 19:05

Nicola Horlick goes to bed at 8pm when her children do, apparently, hence allowing her to rise at 5am and do plenty of banking.

Not sure if she's still married, though, although admittedly if dh and I both went to bed at 8pm we would have time for plenty of sex and sleep and would probably never have any problems at all, ever.

Sleep well!

Walnutshell · 20/11/2007 19:06

Who's Nicola Horlick? DS often awake at 5.00-something and I'm never ready for it

Minum · 20/11/2007 19:31

Do it - daft to force yourself to stay up tonight and have a miserable tired day tomoz, when a good nights sleep will leave you fit and fighting to achieve loads

Walnutshell · 20/11/2007 19:48

I presume, elliemac, that you have done the sensible thing and gone to bed - think I might do the same! Sleep well...

bracingair · 20/11/2007 19:59

done it too! if you are tired than much better for you than mumsnetting!

biglips · 20/11/2007 20:02

i am shattered too! as Dp kept on waking me up last night as he got a slipped disc and he kept on tossing and turning in bed but im keeping my eyes open with my fingers!!

Walnutshell · 20/11/2007 20:05

why. am. I. still. up?

elliemac · 21/11/2007 11:26

I did it. I went early. No bath, no book, nothing. Put the TV on for a bit but don't even remember the end of eastenders. Pure Bliss!! Might even do it again tonight
