Holidays?

How come so many people are still able to go on holiday despite Covid restrictions?

Presumably because they're going to green list countries?

99victoria · 13/06/2021 17:11

Or going to amber countries and following all the testing and quarantine requirements?

Ellpellwood · 13/06/2021 17:14

Going somewhere within your own country is a holiday (and no, it's no a "staycation").

Wearegoingtoneedabiggerboat · 13/06/2021 17:16

I would imagine it’s because they are allowed to go as long as they follow covid restrictions. If the government don’t want anyone to travel abroad then they need to stop flights altogether.

AfternoonToffee · 13/06/2021 17:18

What restrictions are stopping people going on holiday? (As a whole, so excluding red zone countries)

DynamoKev · 13/06/2021 17:19

What holidays?

Mabelone · 13/06/2021 18:07

So many people? I don’t know anyone who has been recently.

coogee · 13/06/2021 18:10

Perhaps they have holiday homes.

funnylittlefloozie · 13/06/2021 18:12

DP and I are going to Scotland next month, and to Cornwall in the autumn. We'll save the holiday abroad until next year. Was that what you were asking?

lotstolose1 · 13/06/2021 18:33

Not everyone works / some have really flexible jobs allowing time off.

If I had a spare couple hundred pound I'd definitely be off to Greece this week without hesitation Grin

Because it is legal to do so and people can exercise freedom of choice.
