I live on my own so its pretty easy for me, and I loooove mornings.
My morning routine actually starts the day before - I prepare my clothes before going to bed and plan the work day, I close Slack and all my Chrome tabs except the ones I need for my morning task (last thing I do at the end of my work day)
I wake up naturally between 5:30 and 6, I take the dog out, prepare a tea, and go back to bed to write my journal whilst listening to BBC Radio 6.
After that, I work for 1h, still in bed, on what I prepared the day before. No emails, no Slack, just focused, creative and challenging work that I would probably struggle to do later in the day.
I sometimes think that I produce 80% of my work outcomes of the week during that morning hour in bed.
I tried before to use that time to read, but I struggle with processing information so early, I'm better with output than input.
After that, I take a shower, get dressed, and walk the dog.
Then a coffee, and I start working around 8:15.
If I go to the office, I skip the morning task but think about it on my cycling commute so I'm ready to tackle it when I arrive at work.
