To think face cream/ sun cream shouldn't sting eyes if direct contact isn't made?

Yet Lidl and Aldi brands sting like hell...i don't have this issue with L'oreal. I can only assume that these cheaper brands run more causing irritation. In tears due to factor 50 lidl sun cream. It's not ok.

LRP is the only sunscreen that doesn't make my eyes pour with water for hours. Ultrasun Face stuff also fine but not the non-face stuff. Be interested to know what is the L'Oréal equivalent to LRP?

I had to throw away a tub of Nivea Q10 face cream because of this. I bought the Neutrogena day cream with spf 25, it's cheap but my eyes are fine.
However, I have this issue with some face creams without spf, too. I spent a fortune on a Skinceuticals face serum and I can't use it because my eyes hurt so much!

@Ionacat

I use La Roche Posey factor 50 ultralight invisible fluid on my face and that doesn’t sting my eyes. I’ve tried lots and nothing has worked until that.
I love this one too. My teens keep stealing it though.
