To think it’s normal to cry after being sick for hours with no relief

My adult dd did something harmful to herself which resulted in her being sick for hours on end. Before starting nac treatment eventually she started to cry due to this. Dp said to me why would she cry.

Look after your DD (I mean obviously you are) and let him get on with whatever.

How is he with her normally?
Are there other children in the family?

Did she hear him say it?

I don't know the circumstances and he doesn't sound sympathetic but I wouldn't cry at that point. Not after being sick, even for hours. I'm not a big crier really. If he isn't, it may have been curiosity or surprise. Although, even if that is the case, I don't know why he'd ask. What difference does it make? And why would it matter?

@User5666687

He’s not sympathetic no he’s more a get over it type of man.
I guess there’s your answer there. That’s his coping strategy, to just get on with it. Forget about him for now, I doubt he’s going to offer you the support you need, focus on your child ❤️
