To be so hacked off with Vodafone?

Chatted online with Vodafone to get a PAC code so I could transfer to Tesco Mobile as they had a good deal. They persuaded me to stay with an equivalent deal. When confirmation came through the price wasn’t the agreed price. Have tried numerous time to get a copy of the chat with no luck. They keep saying it is on its way but it never arrives.

They have now admitted on chat I was misquoted but they can’t rectify it. I have to cancel the contract, send back my phone and do it again. I’m now worried that I’ll try and cancel and they won’t honour that either and I’ll have a continuous mess of trying to stop them taking my money. I’ve requested a copy of every chat I’ve had with them but they never actually arrive.

AIBU to think that this absolutely appalling customer service?

Anyone had similar? Any suggestions what the best thing is to do is?

I hate Vodafone with a passion. I have now been with them for 26 years. 24 of those years, I had very well-paid job. Now I am retired, I have chronic ill-health, which is trauma related. I was advised by Vp to change to a "flexible" plan. It's not.
I'm stuck in it for a year, and it's just too expensive for me now. I've got a further 6 months to go, and then I will escape from their clutches! Their on-line help service is useless as one has to write a very brief description of the problem and they don't understand it. A great waste of time and money.
