School kids walking on my front garden wall

Why do parents think its okay to have their kids walk on my front garden wall (2 foot high)....

Whats worse are the kids that sit on the 'pillar' at the entrance to my drive. (A 3 foot high brick pillar with a flat top).

When I was a kid I was taught not to walk or sit on others property. I dont blame the kids so much as the parents. Its drives me nuts. I used to call them out on it, but given up now....too many different/new parents each year.

Or am I the one with a problem?

Well you’ve kind of proven my point then, haven’t you? If I, and others on this thread not tap dancing with joy at the mere thought of the wall children, are so ‘vile’, how likely are we to care about your opinion?

LadyFidgetAndHerHandbag · 06/06/2021 18:00

Also, once they think they can get away with that, they start ripping your flowers up and throwing litter into the garden.

Christ Alive. Walking on walls isn't a gateway drug. I walked on a lot of walls as a child and have never ripped up flowers or thrown litter into people's gardens cos I'm not an arsehole.

You don't seem to understand what I'm saying. I don't care one way or another your view on children walking on walls, what I am bothered about is adults coming on parenting forums to call children they don't know "brats", "shits" and other horrible names. Does it make you feel big to call children horrid names? Think you might have a problem
SadieCow · 06/06/2021 19:19

May I also say that anyone who calls a child a "little brat" or "dim heads" or "little shots" shouldn't be on a fucking parenting website and probably shouldn't be anywhere near children. Just shows what a horrible person you are to call children names.

Absolutely this! can you imagine if we called those miserable old gits out of the fact they're nasty fuckers?

They'd be giving it "oh your ageist"

Biancadelrioisback · 06/06/2021 19:30

It's no different than referring to adults you don't know "bitches", "slags", "arseholes", "dickheads" etc. Just don't agree with name calling at all especially when it's someone you don't know, and even more so when an adult calls children names.

An adult woman using the word ‘horrid’ in 2021 really isn’t in a position to tell anyone they have a problem.

Does describing the behaviour of certain children as brattish or even shitty does not imply a blanket hatred of anyone under 18. There are plenty of MNers who are happy to call out the behaviour of a certain type of man - does that make them all evil misandrists?

As for the ‘But it’s a parenting forum!’ outrage, you’re kidding yourself if you think no parent has ever described a child as a little brat/shit/bugger - probably their own on a fair few occasions.

Blossomtoes · 06/06/2021 20:28

Then you can’t state that it doesn’t happen

You can. You just can’t prove whether it’s true.

SadieCow · 06/06/2021 21:15

@StillCoughingandLaughing but the children weren't called bratish they were called "little brats".

Or did you not read that?!??

You've got a massive problem!

Biancadelrioisback · 06/06/2021 21:54

I'm sorry, is 'horrid' somehow incorrect?

Come on, you're calling small children names, and you're seriously trying to defend that? Claiming that you really don't care when you keep replying to me to argue for calling children names?

Sorry mate, that's sad.

@StillCoughingandLaughing

You need to calm down lovely Confused

I’d imagine one big reason why most of us don’t go around starting petty lawsuits is because our healthcare is free at the point of use. Little Timmy’s broken arm, whilst painful is simply a minor inconvenience, which won’t cost his parents tens of thousands to fix. HTH

SadieCow · 06/06/2021 22:48

In fairness @StillCoughingandLaughing you do need to calm down! The Internet and mumsnet are full of nobodies!

So why are you on here??

Hilarious, you don't want nobodies!!

Mahonia plants. Evergreen, striking yellow flowers and very, very prickly.

Or build a sturdier wall I guess?

If you were that happy, you wouldn’t feel the need to tell strangers how nasty they are. But you enjoy your smugness.

WalkingOnTheCracks · 07/06/2021 00:42

@StillCoughingandLaughing

I’ve never heard such crap in my life.
Given how much you talk, I find that hard to believe.
StillCoughingandLaughing · 07/06/2021 00:57

Oh, that’s hilarious. The seconds of thought it must have taken to come up with that intellectual gem.
