To not want menstrual cup to show on airport scanner

I’m due to fly next week when I’ll have my period and it got me wondering if sanitary ware is visible on the airport scanner. I know periods are a totally normal thing which half the population experiences but it still feels a bit (privacy) invasive.

A quick Google search confirms cups certainly are. Has anyone experienced any issues with body scanners? AIBU to feel uncomfortable about this?

Omg this has never occurred to me! the amount of tampons ( just from me!) they just have seen!!!! 😂 😂

Jeez, it would have been cheaper to book a cheap Ryanair flight than a private MRI and hysteroscopy to confirm mine had fallen out

Me and DH and DD went on holiday to Portugal about 10 years ago for 10 days. On the second from last day, my period started during the early hours, and I lay in whilst DH and DD went down to the beach as I had period pains.

The housekeeping lady came to clean the room at midday, and I hopped out of bed to let her in, and she came to change the sheets. There were 4 or 5 blood stains, the size of 50 pence pieces where I had been lying.

She said 'manchas de sangue, não se preocupe.' (Blood stains, don't worry,) and just smiled at me, but I just cringed.

Now THAT was fecking embarrassing. I would much rather customs see a mooncup or pack of sanitary towels, than have THAT happen again!

Depending on what kind of implants you have, take a torch into a dark room, bend forward and put the torch against your breast and you'll be able to see them as well as veins that run through your breasts. It's pretty cool.
