Garden party ideas?

For a 3 year old toddlers birthday party?

What food to serve?
Do we play games?

We have a medium sized garden with swings, small slide, ball pool, sand pit and play house. Little bits like IKEA tunnel, scooter, water tray. Should we order a small bouncy castle, put the paddling pool out or no?
I thought of lots of balloons, table with food and drinks, bubble wand thingies for everyone and all garden equipment and toys to play on/with, is that enough/too much?
Would you do any games-pass the parcel perhaps?

Any ideas very welcome-plus interesting food ideas!

I would keep it simple. Too many games / choices could be overwhelming. At that age, we gave each child their own picnic lunch in paper takeaway bags

Give them a sandwich, Pom bears and a biscuit in a picnic box. Not too many games. They're three!

I would avoid the paddling pool - unless its roasting. Some of the kids might not bring a change - other might get cold and grumpy. Also it can be a hazard - especially if younger siblings come too.

At that age I would also steer clear of pass the parcel and formal games. Maybe some simple musical statues - they mostly want to just play with toys - are you able to borrow some duplicates of some of the more popular toys - like scooters to help with 'sharing'?

Bubbles always go down well, as do balloons (until they pop) and dancing! Perhaps have a mask making activity or something crafty - Just sticking jewel stickers on a cut out template etc? In case you need a 'calm down' activity.

With covid, we've steered away from buffet food and bought snack boxes on ebay to fill with a picnic. Seems to go down well and you can them to fit in with almost any theme.

@Heathofhares What did you put in the snack box?

A couple of triangles of a sandwich - ham or cheese, a couple of cocktail sausages, a few carrot /cucumber/pepper sticks, a bag of mini chocolate fingers, a pot of blue berries/ strawberries/cubed fruit and a small fruit shoot. - With water available too

I have done all sorts over the years (sushi, homemade pizza, fancy themed biscuits etc...) and to be honest the kids just like it kept simple.
