AIBU to think the baby monitor should reach?! Anyone got one that works in the garden?

We have a EUFY baby video monitor. It works really well unless we step into the conservatory or literally a step out onto the patio. Our house isn't big, it's a standard terrace and DS has his room out the front, so opposite side to the garden. When we bought it we checked the range and it looked fine (not for the bottom of the garden but for the patio area and a bit of grass) but it loses connection every single time we try to sit outside.
I contacted them but they couldn't have been less interested and just parrotted the range at me repeatedly even when I pointed out that the patio is clearly within the range they claim.

Has anyone got one that works in their garden if you have a standard sized terrace or bigger?

A nest cam has a limitless range if you have signal on your phone

You can set it up to send a notification if there is noise or movement

The range won't be guaranteed because it depends on things out of their control like how thick your walls are.

We have a basic BT sound monitor that we can use down a flight of stairs and on the other end of a 15m+ length garden. Maybe video is the issue?

I had BT baby monitors when the DC were kids. They would still be in range in our sheds at the opposite end of the garden (farmers, so very helpful to still hear/see monitor in shed). Can you change the channel of the monitor? Perhaps it is getting interference

Our bt sound only monitor works at the end of our garden from the opposite side of the house

We have Yi home security cameras and watch and listen through a phone / iPad app. Even if we have a babysitter and go out (which is rare!)

We have BT video monitors. They work in the garden. They're brilliant.
We got refurbished ones that worked out a bit cheaper than brand new.

As others have said it will depend enormously on your house walls. The more solid things like walls and pipes between the sender and the receiver, the less signal will get through. I’ve had a bugger getting WiFi out into my garden because the walls of my house seem to be made out of a signal blocker.
