To wonder when they see their kids?

Totally not being judgemental or jealous, I have a toddler of my own but am not one for going out loads these days.
On my social media, I’ve noticed every day and night for ages now, group of mums I know, acquaintances really, definitely not my circle of close mum friends, go out, drinking, restaurants etc.
For context, I’m not in the U.K. but in the Algarve and these are a set of very wealthy (some well known) mums.
When do they see their kids and aren’t they exhausted 🤣perhaps I’m just too much of a home bird these days.

The only two thoughts I have in those situations where nannys do long hours or proxy parenting, are 1) I hope the nanny is paid well and 2) I hope she stays for years and keeps in contact afterwards so the children have access to that important person in their lives as they would if grandma, for example, had provided a lot of childcare for them.

if i had the ££ to go out every night when my kids were asleep, for dinner, i absolutely would - i would not however go on the piss. I'm too old.

i do judge those who fuck their kids off most days though for going out and ignoring them

YABU and you sound boring

I get judged the other way. I actually don't want to go out regularly and I don't want a "break" from my DC for a long weekend in Ibiza.
We are all different and it's ok 👌

I get it, OP. I have a friend who is out most nights with her married lover and I do wonder why her focus is so far from her kids. It's fashionable on here to pretend not to judge but in reality most people do think things about other people's lives.
