Cheeky Windowcleaner

I'm currently partially working from home and have noticed that every time my window cleaner comes round, he sees me through the window on my laptop and knocks on the front door to ask me to make him a coffee. Each time until today I have obliged. Today, I am busy and quite stressed and I told him I'm in the middle of work and didn't have time to stop and make him a coffee. It has made me feel quite bad. Was I U? I'm pretty sure if I was a man he wouldn't interrupt my work to ask me for coffee. He is here 10 minutes a time and I pay him £18 if it's relevant.

Umm no you're not being cheeky!! He can bring a bloody flask if he's that desperate for coffee on the job!

LuaDipa · 27/05/2021 10:46

Yanbu.

I wonder if he would ask your husband if he was wfh.

Each time until today I have obliged

In the legal world we call that precedent Grin

He is a bit of a CF, but you're BU for always accommodating.

Bonnieonthelam · 27/05/2021 10:50

What! I’d tell him to get on his bike to be honest. CF indeed.

Bloodypunkrockers · 27/05/2021 10:54

Bloody CF

Although there are some posters on here who would have made him a three course lunch and sent him away with the leftovers Grin

🤣 I always offer drinks etc to people who come to do work in the house, but this is different. I’m glad I’m not unreasonable but I’m clearly not used to saying no to people and now I’m cringing a bit.
And Ginuwine you are right I do need to accept some responsibility here!
Pretty sure if I was male he wouldn’t have interrupted my work.
