My son is the donkey and they had a fab outfit in Asda for £5 - snapped it up and he has had it on all day.

Met a nursery mum today and told her - she looked at me in horror and said 'oh......you're not going to make an outfit then?!?'

Home made or ready made??

Oh yeah - I did try to make shephers costume once. Brown material. He looked like Obi wan Kenobi, and kept lighsabering his shepherds crook. Very funny.

I have settled for a hybrid lion - home made and shop bought mix, with some old clothing thrown in! Have bought ears and a tail, and I have some paws with claws from an old Ikea dog outfit which was a present years ago, fawny coloured fleece and trousers, then I am going to town on making a head-dress with mane from some orange fleece I have ordered (£6 for 1m x 1.5m). Nervous about cutting to right size but I will have a go with some old fabric first.
