Worried it's cancer

I'm worried about my thyroid and wondered if anyone can be of any help!
I've been feeling tired and put on weight, I've had problems in the past with my thyroid result being too high or too low the last abnormal result was 2 years ago

I had a recent blood test and the tsh came back normal, but during this the nurse felt my thyroid and neck and said I have a goitre and nodules after I mentioned my throats been tight and it's harder than normal to breath and swallow.

I'm worried it could be thyroid cancer, just with having normal bloods but still having a goitre and I've been referred for an ultrasound so I'm just waiting on that but I'm going out of my mind!

Had anyone had anything similar?
Or any experiences with thyroid cancer what whee your symptoms?

Oh don't worry I've got thyroid nodules too. obviously it's best to check it out but I believe the vast majority are usually benign.

I've had mine for over 16 years. I see an endocrinologist every year or so. I've had scans every few years and they remain harmless. It often runs in the family, mum and aunts had it too and all ended up having their thyroid removed due to it being overactive. Mine has become overactive too so looks like I'll have to have mine out as well.

I know someone who had cancer of her thyroid in her teens. She is in her twenties now and fine.

I’ve got a goitre with normal bloods. Was referred for a scan, which was fine. Case closed.

My DM was exactly the same.
