Not to cook on holiday?

We’re going on a U.K. cottage break with 3 children who haven’t eaten out in restaurants at all really over the last 14 months for obvious reasons. For this reason I want lunch meals to be picnics or cafes if everyone’s in a good mood but after long walks and busy holiday days I don’t really want to attempt evening restaurants. But I also don’t want to cook. WIBU to do oven pizza/fresh pasta/beans on toast/takeaway? DH thinks restaurants will be fine but I can just foresee the tantrums.

Once we went to centre Parcs and basically lived off those Cook posh ready meals. Our youngest was just a baby then, and it was an easy and quite tasty solution.

Yanbu. I'm off soon to a self catering lodge with another family on close by. Only 3 nights but I'd eat out all 3 if it was just us, or do a frozen pizza type thing on one night. I just hate the drudgery of having to do a food shop then cook dinners (same sort of food as what I'd eat at home)- i dont mind breakfast though.
The other family is happy to cook for us all but it means being in for every meal and having to walk over to thier lodge with a highchair (excuses i know...) I'd suggested eating out but they insisted they really enjoy cooking on holiday, so I plan to buy them lunches or dinner one night as a thanks. Check is 5pm on a friday and they have offered an easy early tea, even if just spag bol. Cant say Im overly keen but didn't want to be rude. I'd look forward to a takeway though as i dont often get one due to where we live. I'll see if i can convince them...
