DD and her boyfriend live with me. Her boyfriend has symptoms of covid (sore throat and a cough) he's had a test but hasn't had the results back yet. We're all isolating and my DC's (6,5 and 3) are off school and nursery. WIBU to take them for a quick walk? We obviously won't go to the playground in the park or indoors anywhere but they seem fine for now and aren't poorly.

You sound like you’ve got a shite attitude ‘Hmm🙄’

missymousey · 18/05/2021 16:23

I would, it seems pretty low risk. It's not difficult to have a walk without talking to anyone is it.

@Hallyup6

I'd advise you not to ask on Mumsnet and just get on with it.
Yep

How the hell can people still need to ask this question.

Because they've never needed to know before.

It would be surprising if someone hadn't heard of covid, or had no idea of the symptoms, or had no idea there were things they needed to do if symptoms existed. But they don't actually need to find out the thing they need to do until someone has symptoms. In fact it would be inefficient to seek out and store this information in advance, as for all you know, the required actions might be different by the time you need it.

We’re currently isolating awaiting test results because DS had a fever.

Funnily enough, we’re just cracking on and following the “do not leave your home unless it’s to get a COVID test” rule because we’re not irresponsible.

And why can’t your DC work off their energy in your garden?
