Posting for traffic.

DD4 needs a Spring/Summer jacket, preferably lightweight and water resistant but I can't find anything even remotely nice anywhere.

Where is your go to?

Muddy Puddles.

misskatamari · 16/05/2021 16:04

I absolutely love the Lidl coats that they have in sometimes. They do fleece lined ones and just normal rain ones. Absolutely brilliant! I'm gutted that my kids are in the biggest sizes now, as they're great coats and so reasonable

Next, Zara and Sainsbury’s.

Odd bits from other supermarkets, pyjamas from marks and Spencer’s, hm, a few big name brands for individual items so maybe joules, river island, fat face etc. Primark too but I’m rarely in town anymore.

TheFairyCaravan · 16/05/2021 16:06

Joules store on eBay have some

mogtheexcellent · 16/05/2021 16:06

Muddy puddles or boden in sale or on ebay.

mogtheexcellent · 16/05/2021 16:07

Ah yes forgot I used the lidl coats for nursery.

I’ve found sometimes that if you know what you want then you can get very specific stuff on eBay etc. So if you want a light jacket then you could search that in her size and get a far better quality one for far cheaper than you would the price in shops.

We do that all the time for name pieces like Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Adidas etc. They have great resale value. I saw a patagonia fleece online the other day for £12!

TheFairyCaravan · 16/05/2021 16:09

This one is nice.

rachelvbwho · 16/05/2021 16:22

Next or Frugi

KarlUrbansWife · 16/05/2021 16:54

Jojo Maman Bebe have some gorgeous coats for kids. It's about all I do buy from there these days.

Motherhentoall · 16/05/2021 17:07

TK Maxx everytime, they do some cute designs for young children. Always abit different to the mass of coats you see at school.
These days it’s all JD Sports etc so enjoy it whilst you can Hmm

Annoymoususer · 16/05/2021 17:18

I don't have a preference, sometimes primark, sometimes tesco, sometime asda, sometimes next, sometimes river island and sometimes topshop... Just depends where I am and what I see. Try primark or even online ebay or amazon

Rabbitheadlights · 16/05/2021 20:48

Thanks everyone I've had a good look around and now I'm spoilt for choice, it's like I had a brain blank and forgot half of these places existed it's weird, maybe because I've not been shopping in Sooooooo long. Thankyou all for your help though.

Gorgeous red Hatley jacket for age 4 on ebay for £5

bubblebath62636 · 16/05/2021 21:50

I'd get a proper waterproof one, not a showerproof as they tend to be in supermarkets.

Mountain warehouse, trespass etc.

MIC2689 · 16/05/2021 21:52

Oh it's lovely @Rabbitheadlights! Thank you for updating too!

Volcanoexplorer · 16/05/2021 22:54

Lighthouse are good for jackets. Dd has also had ones from Next and Sainsbury’s too in the past.

Sh05 · 16/05/2021 23:11

I had some next vouchers to use up so got a jacket from next. They had yellow ones and a rusty sort of colour as well as all the flowery ones
