To put masks in the sock draw?

Each child has a sock drawer in a set of draws. Each child requires multiple masks - fabric, reusable- for school and out and about.
When sorting the washing I came up with the brilliant idea of throwing the clean masks in with the clean socks in the relevant child's draw.
My thoughts were that they go in the draw each day for socks so can grab it then, and if I put it in their normal clean clothes basket it would get lost as they use it as a second cupboard and never put the clothes away
The reaction from the teens was:
Omg grim!
And
Thats wierd and unnecessary

I just thought I was being practical!

So YABU its grim and wierd
YANBU good solution

My masks (clean) are with my socks (also clean).

In my experience, teenagers think anything I do is grim, weird and unnecessary.

Mine are balled up and stuffed in my coat pocket. When washed, they hang off a magnetic hook on the fridge. I wouldn’t grab one from a sock drawER when getting dressed as I wouldn’t need one at that point, only when leaving the house.

It’s not grim or weird though.
