Leaving Airbnb like you found it ?

Having major work done at home and have moved into Airbnb for three months. Agreed with owners a "special" rate outside of Airbnb and use of storage facilities for furniture.. The rate is still high but not as high as it would have been via Airbnb. During this time the owners have dug up the garden making it unusable for the last month of our stay (wasn't agreed initially and I was just informed about it whilst staying here). I have agreed a leaving date with the owners a few days prior to bank holiday weekend allowing them to rent it out at full price. I've now received a text asking me to leave the place as I've found it. I was planning to strip beds and ensure place was clean but not in the same condition as found (as in ready for a new guest). I've got two small kids and won't have the time to make the place ready for new guests ... I'm also not staying for free ... am I bring a CF or are they and how would you respond ?

I clean holiday cottages . Atm there are COVID protocols in place , how are you supposed to know what they are .? Leave the beds stripped , bins emptied , kitchen & bathroom surface clean . Everything else should be done by a professional cleaner who knows the owners procedures .

I agree that it should be left at a decent level of clean and tidy, but ask them if this includes the garden? Tell them it will indeed be clean and tidy, ready for their team to go in for the professional clean.

froggy is correct, a cleaning charge can be applied on Airbnb too.[/quote]
Yes but she has booked OFF Airbnb
As in she has not used the Airbnb platform to book

They have to clean themselves afterwards in order to let out on airbnb so just make sure the washing up is done, counters are wiped and yes stripping beds/bringing towels downstairs is helpful but you really don't need to do more than that.
