Head bump

Looking for advice please. I feel like I've posted this same story so many times as I have a very adventurous, dare devil 2 year old DS Confused

Little one was jumping around in his sisters bedroom before bed, he likes to jump up and down and then throw himself head first on to the mattress, however this time he accidentally caught the wooden bed frame on his way down, straight on the forehead.
It instantly came up in a massive red/blue mark and he obvious cried a lot. After about 10 mins he calmed down and carried on playing with his sister and then I put him to bed.
He is normally an amazing sleeper but tonight has been a bit unsettled and cried a couple of times since I put him in bed. To be honest I would expect it to be hurting a bit as it was such a bug bump but is there anything else I need to look out for?

Same happened to us recently, the gp told us to watch out for getting sick and excessive drowsiness or being more unsteady than normal! A bump is a good sign apparently, better to swell outwards than inwards! Our little one was grand the next day but cranky for a while after!

Thank you both! I will keep an eye on him tonight and hopefully he will feel better tomorrow x
