Now we are starting to get back to some kind of normal, what do your typical weekends look like?

Not very different here, apart from one evening of kids cricket with outdoor bar. Otherwise we might have parents round to the garden but mainly stay home. When indoor restaurants open up we’ll go out more and have some weekends away planned for when hotels open.

DD's sport for most of one of the days. Then a day for relaxing/seeing friends or catching up with stuff.

Saturday: horses, ballet (DD) , then maybe playground/al fresco coffee, weather permitting. Riding if weather is nice Dinner at 6.30ish, then wine and chill out with crap TV
Sunday: horses, then we try and keep the day free for family time. Typically, this might be a picnic in the park, country park, national trust, last week we went to Malvern. Dinner at 6.30 again then school/work prep

Pre covid, we might have done lunch/brunch out with a mooch around the shops, but OH is immunocompromised, so we’re sticking with outdoor stuff for now

No different here yet. Toddler and a baby, so it's a bit full on.

Saturday morning park via coffee shop, home for lunch and then aim for the holy grail of the nap overlap. In the afternoon DH takes DC1 to do the weekly shop while I do a few jobs around the house. Then a bit of a play, outside if it's nice enough. Instant freezer dinner for the kids and then a takeaway and wine for us when they're finally down.

Sunday, repeat the morning. Toddler's nap less reliable. Now things are opening we often see one set of grandparents in the afternoon.

Nothing exciting, but I think that's more the age of our children and our, frankly, exhaustion. Grin

No different to usual tbh. We still mostly just go for long walks in forests, NT/EH sites or RSPB reserves. I don’t really want to eat a meal outside right now, it’s freezing.

Toddler is back at his football class on a Saturday though which is something different and positive.

Not really much different yet, it's been too cold to eat out. We are still walking the dog in our usual haunts although they're still to bloody busy.

Kids are back at riding lessons and their tutor is seeing them again.

Ditto re family it's too cold to sit in the garden and not enjoyable so we've not done much of it yet.

Taxi service for DC mainly.

Sat:

8am drop DS at school for Sat sport.
8.45am take DD to athletics
10.30am collect DS from school
11am DD swimming lesson

Sat afternoon/evening: maybe garden visit with friends/activity with DC/shopping. Dinner, film, wine. Hopefully a few meals out post 17th May.

Sun:

9am Junior Park Run
10am DH takes DS to rugby. I take DD to gymnastics
11.45am pick up DD
12noon DD netball

Sun afternoon: Homework/chores/getting stuff ready for school.

It's busy, but productive.
