To think I'm weird, as DD doesn't sleep in sleepsuits?

DD sleeps in sleeping bags, and they have always stated on the packaging what the suggestion is for baby to wear in different temperatures. It rarely suggests a sleepsuit, only if it's really cold, like 16 or 18 degrees I think.

Everyone I know seems to use sleepsuits in sleeping bags though. DD was summer born so I was very worried about overheating early on, but I'm wondering if I'm alone in not using sleepsuits for sleep?

Do those of you who use sleepsuits put a vest underneath too?

YABU - nah not weird, we don't use sleepsuits for sleep either
YANBU - the clue is in the name, why wouldn't you use them for sleep?

@EvilOnion

That's obvious fact *@dementedpixie* but that doesn't explain how baby grows specifically have been linked to SIDS?

Bags replace blankets - not pyjamas

I think the poster was talking about baby sleeping bags as helping prevent SIDs not baby grows/sleepsuitd
@Bumblebee1980a I don't think I've ever heard of baby grows being linked to SIDS Confused

The only reason that bags bring risks down is because they keep the cot empty from blankets. Nothing to do what they are wearing.
Babygros are kind of linked to SIDS because you would then most likely use a cover and the baby would over heat or the cover could go over their head.

@Heyha
I mean babygro with long sleeves and legs with their toes covered. If it was really cold and you used it under a sleeping bag then that's ok. A lot of people would use a blanket over the baby gro. X

Gotcha @Bumblebee1980a so you mean it's the blankets that are the SIDs problem (agreed) and they are more likely to be used with sleepsuits?

I'm not sure I completely agree with your logic but I get where you're coming from if I've taken what you meant correctly. We try to keep our house at 16-18 overnight where we can so we used the sleepsuit/sleeping bag combo a lot. I still haven't got DD into normal bedding yet as sleeping bags are so easy and consistent rather than the will she/won't she stay under a blanket 😂
