To think this is the wine?

Every second weekend when my son goes to his dads I have a bottle to a bottle and a half of white wine on the Friday night. I am always sleeping relatively early and then on Saturday I chill as I feel pretty tender. It's now Sunday night and I still feel really tired, down in the dumps, bloated etc. It happens every second week. Surely it can't just be a bottle of wine doing this? I don't drink the two weeks when he is with me and I am fine and very productive but I have literally lay on the sofa eating all day yesterday and today.

Oh definitely why don’t you just have half a bottle Friday and Saturday? Or a large glass Friday, Saturday and Sunday?

Sciurus83 · 02/05/2021 17:36

And time's passed 1.5 bottles would be fine for me, just not any more

It's the alcohol. I would highly recommend reading Alcohol Explained book by William Porter, it will tell you all you need to know.

I'm currently taking a 3 month break and I feel so much better. I was drinking out of boredom, I felt tired, bloated, lacked energy. My anxiety has receded significantly since stopping too.

Definitely. A bottle and a half is totally pissed and hungover territory.

Okay so you're not drinking with food then. If I were you, I'd stick to a bottle and drink plenty of water before during and after your sesh. Eat good meals. I'm not judging, wine is lovely, being a bit pissed is relaxing. I just think your going a bit hard Smile

@andymoan absolutely. Anxiety is not bothered by such things as rational behaviour.
