to not know where the WFH jobs are advertised?

I'm looking for home based / remote jobs beyond Covid as I'm disabled and WFH works best for me.

I'm not sure where / how to find such jobs. Does anyone have any suggestions? Most job sites are low paid / temporary jobs or all the jobs are in London (I'm in Scotland).

My previous experience is varied - in HR, counselling, disability charities, journalism and policy work.

I don't want to take a step back, or too much of a step back, in salary or grade.

Where can I find professional jobs that pay well but also allow remote working?

I'm looking at indeed, glassdoor, cv library, good moves, myjobscotland, dwp jobs, civil service jobs, linkedin, jobs.ac.uk, charitiy jobs

Any other sites I could try?

Don't be put off if location in London/Glasgow. I'd apply if mention flexible working and discuss if successful. My base London but I WFH.

Try civil service? Unfortunately lots of wfh roles have switched into office based or blended working so you might be too late, but your disability could mean wfh is a reasonable adjustment

Almost all public sector jobs of the type you appear to be looking for can be done from home and that would be seen as a reasonable adjustment even if the job isn't normally WFH. Generally jobs are not advertised as such - this is a matter for discussion. That said, even WFH jobs may require some time "in the office" - team meetings post Covid, for example. You probably need to think about what flexibility you can offer, not just what you want from the employer.

My team, for example, were already able to work from home and had two office days a week pre-Covid. Currently we are home based but have just restarted monthly "real team meetings". Post Covid we will probably have weekly or two weekly team meetings but otherwise work from home. Being 100% "remote" isn't possible with what we do (and the team don't want it either), and a lot of roles could be "mostly remote" - but you may struggle to find one that is 100% WFH.

Charityjobs.co.uk then refine your search by home-based. Always offered a lot prior to covid and seems to have even more now.

Are you qualified to be a HR advisor?

Check out this job at Teach First: www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/2500146720

Actually most of the jobs at that charity can be done remotely (PM me for details).

ScotlandUnited · 02/05/2021 18:36

I'm fairly recently qualified in HR.

I haven't actually worked as an HRBP yet but I've worked in diversity and inclusion roles and there are lots of D&I roles requiring an HR qualification so I hoped it would open some more doors.

I've also worked as a counsellor and I'm nearly finished a jjournalism course (not a degree) so I've been doing some freelance writing.

Well have a skin through other jobs with that charity. Unless it's specifically a regional role or one requiring school visits almost all others can be done remotely.

Try contacting www.astriid.org.uk
They specialise in finding flexible work for disabled and chronically ill people.
