So, apparently the day your state pension is paid usually depends on the last two digits of your National Insurance number.

Between 00 and 19, Monday.
20-39 is Tuesday.
40-59 is Wednesday.
60 to 79 is Thursday.
80 - 99 is Friday.

AIBU to think most people (under pension age) did not know that?!

I'm Friday and DH is Wednesday Grin

Autocreateusername123, with some benefits, if your payment is issued on the correct day it can arrive in your bank on the Tuesday due to the time it takes for BACS.

@Slippy78

The last digit of my NI number is a letter....
They all end A, B, C or D. The last two numbers determine 'pay and periodicity' or which day of the cycle you are paid.
