Santa Clarita diet - it's funny but gruesome

diamondpony80 · 28/04/2021 23:17

Just finished watching Unforgotten and rewatching The Office. Currently watching Shtisel. I’ve tried Schitts Creek twice seeing as there seems to be a lot of love for it & I like Catherine O’Hara but just can’t get into it.

raeroe · 28/04/2021 23:21

I don't think anyone has said it yet but unbreakable kimmy Schmitt

MissConductUS · 28/04/2021 23:23

I just finished Secrets of Great British Castles. It was fab, and taught me a great deal about UK history. Scotland invaded Ireland in 1315? I had no idea. Smile

I LOVE trash tv and Netflix is great for that.

Have just finished the Vampire Diaries for the 2nd time.

Also binged a very very bad food series about making food out of leftovers? Like masterchef I suppose, but super super shit. I loved it.

Looking forward to the new series of Russian Doll when it appears (which isn’t shit, but genius) and about start Ginny and Georgia- which is apparently excellent trash television, like Gilmore Girls but with a harder edge.

ichundich · 28/04/2021 23:33

Money Heist
Queen's Gambit
Still missing Breaking Bad 😏

Glad it isn't just me! Loads of people seem to rave about schitts creak but I've tried and tried to get into it and I just can't. I've renamed it shit creak instead
HarleyQuinn21 · 29/04/2021 00:12

Gilmore Girls at the min, old but gold

altlife · 29/04/2021 00:42

Ginny and Georgia. I'm hooked

Wanted

MessedOfTimes · 29/04/2021 05:08

I’ve just discovered Line of Duty! (There are five seasons up on Netflix Australia - not sure if that counts)...but I’m already obsessed! 😍

Torvean · 29/04/2021 05:18

Loved The Last Kingdom, The Barbarians was good too.

Need some more historical stuff.

Some great Amazon docu-series on the Anglo-Saxons and The war of the Roses.

Any other series that are not Philippa Gregory would be great. I wasn't a fan of Outlander or Vikings.

AbsolutelyPatsy · 29/04/2021 06:28

Anne with an E

KittyVonCatsworth · 29/04/2021 06:43

I'm watching Top of the Lake which is good but a bit slow going. Unfortunately I've read that series 2 is a bit of a turkey.

Thisisworsethananticpated · 29/04/2021 06:43

Borgen

AnExcellentWalker · 29/04/2021 06:49

Lucifer (some of it’s on Amazon though)
Gilmore Girls

Ktay · 29/04/2021 06:57

The Windsors (low-budget silly but hilarious comedy about royal family)

Is Arrested Development still on there?

My 9yo got me into a programme called ‘Sing On’ - essentially competitive karaoke. Not usually into that sort of thing but nice family viewing

Quincie · 29/04/2021 06:59

Started watching This is A Robbery. About a real life art museum robbery in Boston - finding it a bit meh.
I do watch the UK real life crime but somehow even at the start they seem to be padding out the story instead of getting on with it.

merrymelody · 29/04/2021 07:02

New Amsterdam. It's okay.

Amielondon23 · 29/04/2021 07:03

Old Gogglebox episodes
US office
Last night I watched beethoven 2 haha

GCAcademic · 29/04/2021 07:07

Lupin.

fourandnomore · 29/04/2021 07:11

Brooklyn 99 - laughing out loud every night.

EvilOnion · 29/04/2021 07:14

I've just finished Dirty John and Dirty Betty - but slow to start but really good once you get into them.

Superstore is good for a laugh and the new (last ever 😭) series is on ITV hub too!

catchingzzzeds · 29/04/2021 07:20

Atypical and Ginny and Georgia

Iamtooknackeredtorun · 29/04/2021 07:26

I absolutely love Shtisel. It's almost like a documentary and you feel you're watching it in live time rather than it being written for dramatic highs and lows. It's fascinating, whimsical and moving all the same.

Also because it's subtitled I have to put down my phone and concentrate which is a
good thing.
