I know IBU posting here but I’m desperate!

I have 6 month old son. He cosleep with me and he sleeps on his side. He leaks, nearly every night and it’s a nightmare.

He is a frequent feeder throughout the night so he wees a lot. I have tried everything but he’s leaking all the time. This means I have to change his nappy, best, onesie, sleep sack and Bed sheets at stupid o’clock in the morning. He always has a break down and takes ages to go back to sleep and it’s tiring us both out.

I’ve tried different nappy brands, active nappies, nappy pants. He’s a size 3 and I’ve tried a size 4. The frills are out as The makers tell you to, the tapes touch the middle. Please give me advice on what else I can try? It’s causing a nightmare for us every night, we’re awake enough as it is!

Thank you

Our baby used to leak every single night without fail. We switched to Sainsburys nappies which have kept him dry ever since. I think it's worth trying a few different brands until you stumble upon the right one for your son I say this as my older son would leak in the Sainsbury's ones and Pampers worked best for him. My middle son would leak in Pampers and only Aldi worked best for him. The youngest only suits sainsburys. They must have different shaped bottoms!

My boy was a leaker too. I tried so many nappies and Tesco Rascal and Friends were/are the only ones that last the night.

I had an all night feeder/heavy wetter too, and I totally understand not wanting to change if you don't have to, once you're both wide awake from the change getting off to sleep again takes ages. I used reusables which I found better for taking the volume of wee all at once, but I also second the poster who suggested reusable wraps over the top, I would do this if we were away and using disposables and it really helped. You can get them a bit cheaper secondhand on eBay etc, I always found motherease very good.

Pampers nappy pants solved this for us. Her tummy is bigger after dinner so when we put the taped nappy on there is a gap after her tummy goes down. Also as the nappy fills with wee overnight the bulge drags the waistband down making a gap.

Try nappy pants in size 3 and size 4. Then if you need to wear both? Size 3 for the closer fit and size 4 for the overflow. I couldn't be changing baby in the night as a standard every night thing. She would completely melt down.

Hope you get it sorted!

I used to put a + nappy on with a pull up over the top. Every time he woke up to feed I changed the nappy underneath and put the pull up back over. I sat up in bed and did it while I was feeding him, rested his head on my knees and reached over, so then he wasn't kicking off. Then for the last feed just took the nappy off underneath and out the pull up back on, so it still got used.
