On behalf of friends, they have had an empty property next door since last June. Someone bought it but nobody ever moved in.
Various men in different vehicles arrive and leave for months but no new neighbour yet. Lots of different nationalities going in but not staying.

In past few weeks boxes are delivered, sealed with tape and about the size of a microwave (all of em). Since then one curtain per week goes up at each room, a haphazard sheet or some old drapes.

Then tonight my friends noticed all curtains shut and this freaky fluorescent light all through the house. Super duper bright.

Surely drug people would be more discrete?
There's nobody in there at all, no furniture, etc.
There is a box on wall outside with possible a key in it.

What do you think?

What Kerzehmet says! Trafficked teen boys are a favourite choice of drug farmers. The trafficked girls go into brothels, of course. Imagine if some captive child is tending the crop and never seeing sunshine or getting fresh air to breathe.

Don't delay, report today! If you're wrong, no harm done: if you're right, the sooner it's stopped the better.

I'd second the comment about the possibility of trafficked teenagers, though if there are they would be taken into local authority care (eg if trafficked from abroad - common with Vietnamese children unfortunately) So please do flag up so that if it's the case any victims can get help.

Sad world when someone needs encouragement to report these gangs.

Just ring the police yourself

listsandbudgets · 26/04/2021 17:24

Agree with everyone else especially re human trafficing. Tell the police, they'll presumably check it out and either find it to be innocent or deal with it as appropriate.

Also tell your friend to keep an eye on her electric consumption. Not unheard of for Cabiness farms to wire up to next doors electrics and the bills can be horrendous.

An0n0n0n · 26/04/2021 17:28

You know ypu can report it too? Your friend would peobably be grateful if her and DH couldnt agree whether to do it.

Rinoachicken · 26/04/2021 18:45

Sorry, I totally misread that as ‘cannibal’ farm!!

SnowdaySewday · 26/04/2021 19:30

You/ they can also report anonymously via Crimestoppers.
