What time do your kids go to bed

On a school night?
I have a 10 yr old ( bed 830)
8 year old ( bed 8)
Both can read in bed - I am the big bad mum as all their friends go to bed at 930/10 but I'm in bed at that time as I'm exhausted I have a little one too be he's a dream at bed time.
Interested to know if I am mean out of sync or are these times ok? I will add mine turn into zombies on lock of sleep like their mum 🤣

11 and (just) 13, lights out at 9.30 on a school night, up at 7.15 and 7.30. Fridays and Saturdays I chase them into bed at around 10.20/10.30, up around 8.45-10.00..!

6 and nearly 8 year old. school nights there meant to be in their beds at 8, I am then meant to read till 830 then asleep by latest 9. youngest falls asleep straight away. Oldest is still awake at 10pm most nights. he also wakes up first, around 7am. Defiantly doesn't seem enough sleep to me but he wakes up naturally each day.

Lockdown has seriously messed up bed time in our house. 9 and 11 year old are now still awake at 11 most nights. Whereas before they were both in bed at 9 sleeping for 10 ish. I'm hoping a good run at school will sort them out.

8 and 9 year olds, lights out at 9pm, they are allowed to read with a bedside lamp after this is they aren’t very sleepy, but both usually asleep in half an hour.

8 year old sleeps until 7.30, 9 year old about 6.30, but she stays in bed until she hears we are up.

My 7 and 4 year old are in bed asleep by about 7pm. Sometimes 645pm.

Almost 11yo has lights out at 9
8.5yo is 8.45 but is a morning child. The near 11 yo loves her bed (and is grumpy as hell without enough sleep) otherwise might be allowed to read until 9.30

They are up at 7am for school at 8.30-3.50 and have a pretty full day there. By 5pm on a Friday it's like toddler witching hours all over again Grin

4 yo 7.15, 18m old 7pm
We are morning people though. If I try and keep 4 yo old up later he's just tired and grumpy, nothing on earth will make him lie in/sleep past 6.30am.

8 yr old goes between 8-8.30. She tends to sleep between 8.30-9.30, but then will sleep right through to 6.30-7.30, depending on bedtime. Gets harder with lighter evenings, and on weekends it's very much less strict.

mindutopia · 21/04/2021 06:43

My 8 & 3 year old both go to bed at 8-8:30. 3 year old usually asleep by 8:45 but 8 year old can be awake in her room until 10pm or even later. As long as she stays in her room and is quiet, that’s fine. I wish she’d go to sleep earlier though.

VestaTilley · 21/04/2021 09:37

My 2 year old has stories after bath at about 6.30pm, then we put him down to sleep at 6.50pm or so; he’s usually asleep by 7.
