Hi
We are moving to the UK from South Africa.
My son is very passionate about the performing arts and would like to try and enroll him in a state secondary school that has a good performing arts reputation.
We haven't decided on an area yet, other than we would prefer to be in the south.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

The Boswells School in Chelmsford is pretty good, also Chelmsford has a thriving youth theatre community and lots of extracurricular weekend drama schools.

www.thenorwoodschool.org/ - and if he's really good, after a couple of years, he could try for a place nearby at - www.brit.croydon.sch.uk/

There is the Arts Educational schools, one in London and one in Tring.

They are fee paying schools which particular entrance requirements though so it depends on his age and your budget. I know Tring has boarders not sure about London.

Arts Ed Tring has changed it's name it's now Tring Park School for the Performing Arts. Tring has boarders and from memory you have to audition to be accepted.

Auditions that's the word I was searching for!
