I mentioned my name change to a friend who completely accepts it.
If any of you don't know, i've changed it to Lou Smile
She said 'Oh, like Lou Reed? I love him.'
After asking, she sent me this song...

Aibu to think it is one of the most loveliest songs i've ever heard? I almost cried Blush

@skirk64

I must admit, I hate the Nico tracks on that album.

I'm Waiting for the Man, Heroin and There She Goes Again are truly brilliant, but the Nico tracks are dreadful.

why do you think they're dreadful? I can understand disliking/not getting Nico's sound but they aren't shit by any stretch of the imagination.

I did find Nico an acquired taste but once it clicked I really loved her.

for my funeral. I love you.
Fifty years since I first heard Lou Reed.

100% agree.

Love the velvet underground.

@bootolou No. The song does nothing for me.

The video is trippy though! Shock

IMO, Nico is 'meh...'

Also I think Lou Reed is hugely overrated. Not a fan at all.

bootolou · 13/04/2021 17:12

Also can't believe it's from 1967!!! Shock

Oh God yes!! Takes me back to my hedonistic 1980's life

@Coldilox

Pale Blue Eyes is my favourite Velvet Underground song
Yes. So beautiful
GlubGlubGlub · 13/04/2021 17:46

Op you are in for such a treat listening to all of these great songs. Venus in fur is my favourite.

Found it a bit boring and the singer seemed to have only around 3 notes in his repetoire.
