Just ate a whole tube of Pringles. Very distressed.

Please make me feel better.

Pringles are bloody half price everywhere and I picked up a tube in the shop just now. Crunched my way through an entire tube of Original flavour, with a pot of houmous alongside for dipping. Kept putting the lid back on, then absent mindedly returning for more. Then the tube was empty, and so was the houmous pot. That’s like 1600 calories in about 30 mins.

I feel so disgusted with myself. Please tell me I’m not the only person to have done this.
Sad

I can highly recommend the new sour cream ones they taste like sour cream and onion but have a good kick to them.I think they might be called Pringles extreme or something got them from Iceland

Relax, you allocated yourself one pack of Pringles this week.
Spread it out into 14 portions or binge in one sitting.

If it feels that good you have to eat more and are not getting full up, it is probably awful for you. Embrace the small binge and don't do it everyday.

CSIblonde · 11/04/2021 00:19

At my eating crap height I ate 2 boxes of Mr Kipling French Fancies in one sitting. On offer for £1 each. That's 3,600 calories. If I wasn't on a major health kick I'd easily revert to doing it again. They are the best cake ever. Fact.

Sparklesocks · 11/04/2021 00:20

Everyone overindulges sometimes. It happens. The world continues to turn. You won’t gain a stone overnight because of it. No need to beat yourself up. Having something really healthy tomorrow if the balance will make you feel better.

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 11/04/2021 00:33

I have a cautionary tale for you.
Once upon a time I could eat ready salted Pringles with abandon. These days they taste of soap Shock Sad
I tell you to eat the Pringles while you can. You never know when your Pringle. days will be over.

septemberismyfavouritemonth · 11/04/2021 00:50

I can do that with kettle chips! Can't stop once I start!

Confusedmeanderings · 11/04/2021 02:08

Definitely YANBU. In the states you can get lime and chilli flavour. I'd eat a tube of those in a heartbeat!

torquewench · 11/04/2021 06:10

I ate an entire sharing Hmm bag of Sainsburys salt and vinegar twirls yesterday. In one go, in about 5 minutes. My only regret is not buying more bags as they were reduced to 85p, which is less than the price of a tiny standard 28g bag of crisps.

whymewhyme · 11/04/2021 06:19

Easily done esp with hummus, dont worry about it just be good for a few days lol

HeronLanyon · 11/04/2021 06:24

I am extremely lucky in that Pringles upset my stomach - think too oily - and because of that I don’t like them at all.
If we are talking about eg wotsits or frazzles then yes I have deffo done what you describe. Cant have them in the house other than every now and then (every - now - and - then Grin)

Sugarcube84 · 11/04/2021 06:25

I ate a full sharing bag of toffee popcorn to myself last night, I started with bone bowl but kept going back for more. You’re not alone!

cantbeforeal · 11/04/2021 06:52

YABU for dipping them in hummous 🤮

Jemenfouscompletement · 11/04/2021 09:45

@Feedingthebirds1

I once ate a 1kg bag of cashews in two days. It comes close.
Nuts are my poison too. I regularly eat 3kg of grilled almonds and cashews in a week. That's a horrible number of calories. Not sure I could do 1kg in a day though!
cushioncovers · 11/04/2021 10:10

This is why I don't buy Pringles. You have my sympathy op. It's entirely the Pringles fault. Smile

madmumofteens · 11/04/2021 12:38

Ate a whole tub of sour cream Pringles when heavily pregnant took me a while to realise that I'd given my soon to be born DD hiccups and it wasn't something serious lol 😂

JovialNickname · 11/04/2021 12:49

Have you got the little cuts you get at each side of your mouth from forcing too many whole Pringles in? I get those.

Don't worry about it, they put something in those things that mean you can't stop eating them. They also cause a phenomenon known as "crisp hand" where your hand keeps dipping in and out the tub without you realising. Hope you enjoyed!

Covert19 · 11/04/2021 22:07

Read this thread this morning, and immediately got a Pringles craving so I finished the aforementioned tub of BBQ Pringles in the bath, for my breakfast. Was amazing.

EveryDayIsADuvetDay · 11/04/2021 22:19

I watched a video about how pringles are made about five years ago.
haven't eaten one since

brushlaptop · 12/04/2021 14:03

The real distressing thing is that you went for original flavour not bbq!

bootolou · 12/04/2021 14:04

I do the same.... And then eat a whole chocolate bar for afters Wink

CarlottaValdez · 12/04/2021 14:06

I watched a video about how pringles are made about five years ago.haven't eaten one since

How come? I’m fascinated!

harriethoyle · 12/04/2021 14:07

@HairyPits

This is why I never buy them - always eat the whole thing! Ditto big bags of walkers sensations and those M&S crisps that are all different shapes.......
Oh those M and S crisps are THE BEST
harriethoyle · 12/04/2021 14:07

Ps I'm judging you for not going for sour cream OP Grin

SofiaMichelle · 12/04/2021 14:10

YANBU.

But I can't help wondering how many calories a full tube of Pringles and a pot of houmous is?

Somewhere approaching a trillion, maybe?
