8 Hot Dogs but always 6 rolls

I know it isn't the most important of wonders and I don't need a lecture on mechanically separated meat.

Why always 8 dogs but buns sold in 6's?

So 16 hot dogs and 18 rolls? Why is that any better?

This is the best solution by far.

It's so my DD can have a 'side sausage' (named by her) which is an extra hot dog not in a bun. Side sausage makes me grin every time 😅

I had this today! I was making hotdogs and found that the jar I bought had 5 in but I had a pack of 6 buns. Had to cut one in half lol.
